Премьера мюзикла, основанный на мультиплатиновом альбоме Green Day "American Idiot", состоялась на прошлой неделе в театре Berkeley Repertory Theate. Помимо хитов из "American Idiot", в мюзикле прозвучали и композиции с нового альбома панков - "21st Century Breakdown". Солист Green Day Билли Джо Армстронг остался очень доволен постановкой. Мюзикл вызвал большой ажиотаж среди поклонников группы и любителей театра. Теперь в планах у группы перенести показ на Бродвей. Стоит отметить, что до Green Day подобный мюзикл был поставлен только по мотивам альбома группы The Who "Tommy".

The premiere of the musical based on Green Day's multiplatinu, album "American idiot" took place the previous week at Berkeley Repertory Theate. Apart from the tunes from "American Idiot" the brand new songs from Green Day's latest release "21st century Breakdown" were performed onstage. The band's frontman Billie Joe was very happy about the musical and shared his plans of moving the perfromance to Broadway. The musical was a success among the band's fans and theatre-goers. It's worth mentioning that before Green Day the similar musical was staged only for The Who's "Tommy".
