 -How did you find the band and why did you called it Naked”?
Well Zack and I have been best friends for over 20 years
and one day we just started to play music and it evolved into NAKED. Then Tikka joined in 2003 and Ilari in 2007 I think
There is no big meaning behind the name other than we like to get naked! And it looks and sounds cool!
-The last album is called “Superstate”, could you explain how did you find this name?
I was piss drunk one night and came up with the title "Turbostate" cause I was feeling good and all that, but tikka thought is sounded too much like Turbonegro so went with "Superstate" I think the title was the best thing about that album:)
-Your style is cool and bright. Is it hard to be “not like the others” and save something really different in your shows and music?
Well at the end of the day we just strive to keep it real and not bitch about how cold it is and other stupid crap like that!
We like to have a good time and blow the stage apart.
We don't try to be trendy and or trends cause one thing is certain and that is that there will always be people around who like to get laid and go to great rock shows and we represent that.
-I like the song “Nothing’s perfect”. How could you explain the meaning of the song?
I talk about people coming to a point in there relationships where there is no return even if you'd want to, and you try to get it all right again but your kidding yourself. Personally I don't believe in the whole soul mate thing, I think it's all about attraction, respect, love and adaptation. Ok enough of the Dr Phil stuff.
- Do you feel nervous before the show and how do you try to escape the fear or smth., maybe you have some rituals or special traditions to do before the concerts?
I don't get nervous but I start focusing on what I'm about to do. Before the show I stretch and warm up my voice for about 20 min. I also drink about 2L of water prior to the show.
Then I'm usually ready to start the party.
-Can you declare that you are really talented person?
I'm not gonna go on record and say that I' talented. I just like what I do so much that I will continue doing it for many years to come.
-What do you expect from the concert in Japan, do you know anything in Japanese to say on the stage ( as it was in Russian-sis’ki?) ?
Looking forward to going to Japan for the first time. I think it's gonna be kick ass. And of course I know some Japanese :)
It always been a dream of mine to go over there and play and it's finally happening.
-You have lots of fans al around the World, is it pleasure for you to communicate with fans, do you want the band to become more and more popular?example?
It's all good! Anyone who likes NAKED music is alright in my book, and NAKED fans are the most kick ass kind there is.
Yes we would love for our band to grow bigger and bigger.
-Are you proud of the goals you achieved these years and what are you planning to do up next?
I'm very proud of our new album, it's sounding very fresh and loud. That's probably what I'm most proud about at the moment.
You'll just have to wait and see.
-And one more tradition question: Did you like playing in Russia?
Russia was great and always is! You are very friendly people and I love to party down in Russia with some Baltica 7
-“The age and the society mostly kills the individuality and creativity in people”, would you argue with this statement?
Deep shit right there
-What kind of literature do you prefer?
Books with pictures! No I read some history books and autobiography's
-Some people says that it’s stupid to dream, to build up the cloudy castles and to imagine the bright future- “if you want God to laught tell him about your future plans”, do you like dreaming up something or thinking what do you want to happen in five years, for example?
I am an optimist! Always have been and always will be!
I don't get people who don't have dreams and worry themselves to death. Dreams are good they motivate you!
-Which city, country or another place is your dream-place where you want to get and why?
I love New York! I totally dig it.
I also enjoy my apartment believe it or not. I dig being at home. Some day I'll take the time to go lay on a sunny beach for two months but not right now cause I've gotta give the people some new rock music.
-The last question today- Do you think World can exist without any anger, hatred, struggle and cruelty or the contrast between white and black is a need?
