7 Poslednix Stranic: "Stars for us"

In the anticipation of the release of the new album "Stars for us," by the band band from Ivanovo gave their musicians attention on the most masculine day in Russia - February 23, in the online magazine Bizarre Music where they granted an exclusive interview. On this holiday during a cold evening the whole group met in a cozy cafe where they were drinking coffee and sharing news, plans and wishes and also dotting all i’s and crossing t's for a long awaited album that will be released the other day!

1. Guys, please, tell us in details about your new album: what inspired you to record the album? How was the recording process?
Danila (bass): Firstly, we’d like to tell that we were working at the composing of this album for a long time, so together with the recording we spent more than six months. We experimented a lot, corrected, added, to get the final result is an album that would help us fulfill ourselves on the music scene, leaving a piece of 7 P.S. in music.
Ilya (vocal): What inspired us? Life…emotions…That’s why our album is versatile. First of all, having listened to it entirely, you'll notice its complexity, but despite this, all the songs are related, and as a result we have received the right product, an album consisting of 7 songs that we wanted to see. Our aim is achieved. And, by the way, we would like to invite everyone to our presentation of the album, which will be April, 1 in the club, called "Dialogue," where we’ll be on the same stage with Italian guests, a stunning band «The Electric Diorama». Don’t miss out!

2. Which track do you think most closely reflects the 7 P.S.?
Ilya: It’s difficult to answer that question, because we don’t want to be limited to one song and put it some kind of framework for the band on the whole. I’d like to say the name of the song "By millions of drops” but I repeat again that one song is impossible to judge about the 7 P.S.

3. What concert was the most unforgettable for you and why?
Two years ago we had a concert as special guests on the big holiday- "The day of town Teikovo”. We didn’t expect such a warm welcome and will certainly never forget that show and that power of a huge crowd of people who were so pleased to see us!

4. What do you feel when you see from the stage a hall full of people?
Danila (bass): I feel that "it’s my cup of tea”.
Yura (guitar): I feel in the process of my favorite business.
Misha (drums): Unfortunately, I can’t see the public, because of my drums. That’s why I just enjoy playing drums.
Ilya (vocal): I feel my power. I realize that every my sound can hear each person in the hall, so I feel an enormous responsibility.

5. With what singer/band would you like to play together on the one scene?
If Elvis Presley was still alive, it would be only with him..

6. Are there your personal musical influences in your music?
Danila: Sure, the style of my playing is based on my favorite music.
Ilya: I learn from other bands how not to do (Laughs)

7. The seventh question is about your "Lucky Seven”, and again about the new album. As we know, the number of tracks on the new album is 7, tell what song is closer to each of you?
Yura: "Zerkala” (eng.: "Mirrors”), "Nam prosto obrezali kryliya”(eng.:….our wings have just been cut…)
Misha: "Kak v kino” (eng.:As in a film)
Danila: "1000000-mi kapel” (eng.: By millions of Drops) – because it’s our hit and "Kak v kino” (eng.: As in a film) – because I like my bass-part in this song.
Ilya: "Sama ne svoya” (eng.: She is not herself)- everyone will pay attention to this song =)

8. How do you like to spend your spare time besides music?
Misha: I’m fond of cinema.
Yura: I’m studying sound-directing.
Danila: Music takes most of my spare time.
Ilya: Music, only music, I take emotions in moods and contemplation of people.

9. Everybody is very interested in one question – will 7 P.S. sing in English? Do you count on abroad audience?
Ilya: Yes, we’re planning to write a track in English in the nearest future, and of course we’d like to count on western audience. Unfortunately, there’s a stereotype in Russia (our town in particular) that if a band begins to write songs in English, than it was "sold”. False opinion to my mind, but nevertheless it exists and sometimes makes one reflect.

10. Tell about your impressions from your numerous taking part in such a sensational in Russia and Europe musical festival like Emergenza, where last year you almost become winners on a regional level.
Yura: It’s a great chance, "a push” for young beginning musicians.
Danila: It’s a nice event, unforgettable impressions and experience.

11. Continue: "Music for me is…”
Ilya: …is a chance to leave something after you in life…
Yura: …is life.
Danila: …is life and its sense.
Misha: …is so-called "soundtrack” to my life.

12. What would you wish our readers?
Danila: Listen to 7 P.S. J Realize what you want in your life and reach it.
Yura: I wish you sincere views and to be yourselves.
Ilya: Live everyday as if it was the last one in your life and only then everyday will be unforgettable and special!
