New Year Interview From Dari

How do you like to celebrate New Year? What would you prefer:
  • spend New Year with your family and close friends
  • light fireworks outside with shouts "Best New Year wishes”!
  • rock at a party?

Dari: having fun shoutin out "Best Wishes!" and watching other friends and relatives shooting fireworks, no doubt about it!

Fasa: I think I'd like to play music above all

Fab: Between all options, I'd choose to go and have fun at some party.

Cadio: Even though I'd have a lot of fun at a party, my ideal New Year's is playing a show somewhere!

Which New Year party do you remember best of all and why?

Fasa: well, I barely remember what I've done the day before yesterday ^^

Fab: The one in 1998, I had a party at my place and there were crazy things going on all the time. From that day on I decided I would never have another party in my place.

Cadio: 5 or 6 years ago: the party was going to be boring as usual so I decided with my friend to take a tv-shows marathon for 5 hours, which is the best solution ever in the end.

Dari: every year is the best party ever, cause there's always a unique reason for it to be considered cool. 2009 is about to end grandly, we made the "Sottovuoto Generazionale" and "Sottovuoto D-Version" albums, now 2010 is meant to begin with a brand new album and this is gonna be the best one so far.

What does the ideal New Year party look like to you?

Fasa: a lot of food, a live gig and stripped girls

Fab: it should be in a warm place, where I can party wearing just a t-shirt.

Cadio: a stage, some tv-shows, snacks and no clocks or any instrument for taking the time.

Dari: a lot of free fun 4 all and loud music.

Which present would you like to get most of all?

Fasa: I'd love to get a dog!

Fab: I don't know. I have everything I need, for real. Maybe a tour in a foreign country

Dari: I have everything I need too, but if I have to think about it I'd like to receive a platinum disc, then a new tour and some endorsement of every kind, plus other things that I don't remember now, but if I would I'd definitely write them down cause they'd be really great... ;)

Cadio: some new synth for sure, so I'd have a new toy to have fun with in the next year!

Getting presents and giving presents: what do you like more?

Fasa: I hate giving presents... I always mistake them

Fab: receiving presents, cause to give em out you have to think about it too much.

Dari: I love to receive odd presents to be surprised by, as a consequence to give the same kind of presents to others.

Cadio: giving presents! I only buy things that I would love to receive, so in case the receiver is not interested in it, I have it back and we're all happy ^^

What was the most non-ordinary present given to you and gotten by you?

Fasa: a stuffed spider

Fab: various underwear and bras pulled on stage during our shows... they're pretty much useless without a girl following.

Dari: somebody gave me a stuffed tortoise with plastic eyes that fell down after a while... no comment

Cadio: a green, fluorescent comb

Do you believe in Santa Clause? Have you ever waited for him when you were a kid with a glass of milk and a plate of cookies?

Fasa: I did until the age of 10

Fab: I did as a child, like everybody else I think.

Dari: I did until the day my cousin dressed up so badly like Santa and from that moment on I realized Santa was just a business trick, a worldwide fake. I still believe Santa is a rockstar, dressed in red and white, protected by elves roaming around the world on a sleigh dragged by reindeers... have you ever seen a living reindeer? I have not.

Cadio: As a child I did but I never waited for him: I woke up in the morning and everything was already there under the tree.

Do you know the difference between Santa Clause and Russian Father Frost?

Fasa: Father Frost... seems like the name of some villaine superhero

Fab: No, who's Father Frost?

Dari: Not now, but give me a second so I can check it out on the internet.

Cadio: I think Santa has a less disturbing name.

Have any of your wishes made at New Year’s night come true?

Fasa: usually not

Fab: I never made wishes on New Year's night.

Dari: Yeah, but I won't tell you! I already know my next wish, but I won't tell it either!

Cadio: I've got some but I can't reveal them for sure!

How do you picture an ideal New Year outfit?

Fasa: nobody's wearing a medieval armour usually...

Fab: totally black.

Dari: uh... dress as you prefer, you have to feel comfortable and you're stylish even if apparently you're not.

Cadio: Not a red dress, without reindeers or Santas on it and possibly not made by my granma

How do you plan to celebrate this New Year?

Fasa: I hope we can play a gig

Fab: I think I'll stay home with a friend playing some videogames and getting drunk.

Dari: the more rock n roll as I can... pijama, slippers and a nice blockbuster movie.... ahahahah can you believe it??

Cadio: playing a show or in a worm bed.

The year will pass the way you’ve celebrated the coming of it: do you agree with this belief?

Fasa: I don't think so

Fab: No, it never happened to me.

Cadio: No and I'm happy about it: I'd have a life full alcool, cold and boring time.

Dari: No I don't think so... I think I'll work very hard to make 2010 a memorable year.

Your wishes to our readers and our mag for 2010 : )

Fasa: I wish you the best for the new year and don't get too much drunk!

Fab: I wish you a wonderful 2010 and I hope we're gonna tour in Russia

Cadio: Best wishes! I hope we can come to Russia soon and meet all of you at our concert!

Dari: for all your readers: Happy new Year fooooolks... and watch out for the day we're gonna come to Russia, it's gonna be a blast and you will remember it for the rest of your life. Think Dari & Tank U 4ALL
