Demetrius: don't be scared to follow your heart and passions...
 1. First of all let’s define the style of your music.
In fact i think it's not easy to classify my own style, but i would say it's a kind of dark atmospheric rock !
2. What drew you to this style? What music influenced your today’s tastes in music?
I've listened to many great dark bands of the 80's as Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, but i also like the progressive metal sound of Opeth, Porcupine, Black Sabbath ( i guess you can hear that in my song spleen ) and classical of course, minor chords are so deep ...
3. Your stage name is Demetrius. Why is it this? Maybe some history associated with it?
The truth is at first i thought it was sounding good ha ha, but later on i've read he was an antic greek warrior against ptolemee !
4. Your stage image. How did it appear? Is it close to you in your everyday life? Does any distinct line exist between Eric and Demetrius?
That's a great question to answer, unfortunately i couldn't be Demetrius in every day life, and you'll know why in the next quetion, i think of Demetrius as the best way for me to express my obscure feelings, and reflections about life .
 5. You worked in a few different projects. Tell us about them briefly.
I'm into music since i'm a kid, i work with many artists, sometimes making arrangements for them or playing in cover bands but i have few other big projects as my band RDSK, with who we just signed an American label, LoraYma ( oriental world music ), Synthesis, ( ambiant jazz ) and XVIII ( gothic ) .
6. Your life outside the stage. Do you teach to play the guitar? This is probably interesting to share knowledge and experience with others.
I teach guitar in two different great schools here on the French riviera, i'm very proud of my students for who we organize each year a stage experience in public, i'm never deceived !!!
7. I know that you can play other instruments too. What are these instruments? And where did you learn to play them?
I've start with classical violin studies, but then i've decided to go to other instruments and learn by myself drum, keyboard, bass, and saxophone ... I prefer record a real instrument sound than the electronic way ha ha !!!
8. You write music and poetry. Share with us the mystery of how your music is born?
In fact i'm much better at writing music than words ! I've always wanted to sing and never had the guts to do it, that's why i take a great pleasure realizing that dream in demetrius . I try to bring up a special ambiance and an atmosphere, my text are inspired by personal thoughts, or mystical sories,
 9. What do you think about modern Rock-Music?
I thought the best creative period for Rock was the seventies, no producer asked you then to play a three minute song, they were much more place for music and composition !!! But, i have to admit some great bands try to follow that way, Archive, Anathema, Steven Wilson, Katatonia ...
