Deviltears: Any art is interesting if it is made with soul.
 Hard and melodic music... This paradoxical combination have been blowing the minds of music fans for a long time. The Russian band Deviltears have chosen this interesting non-ordinary style and it has become their trade mark.
- Hi! Tell us how is your new album getting on? When can we hear it?
Hello. The album is completely ready, and now the work over the cover comes to the end. It will be possible to hear it by the end of November, in early December.
- How did the work on the album go? What was the most difficult and the most interesting in the recording?
Recordings were very hard and long. The album was recorded in 2008, but the work with people with whom it has been recorded didn’t suit us, and we decided to completely rewrite it, and thanks to the studio Aura and Kazbanov Jury we did it. Vocal recording was the most difficult as it was necessary to minimize the presence of the Russian accent in the songs, and the most interesting became the mixing and mastering of the material …
- How would you characterize this album?
It is difficult to answer this question, for us it is sooner a victory over ourselves.
- Jarno Peratalo took part in the recording of the disk. How did you like working with him?
You know, to work with the western stars was much easier and pleasant. In spite of that fact that Jarno’s brother died before the recording, however he did it, having postponed recording for 3 days, and he did it better than we expected. I think here there is nothing more to tell. It has shaken us!!!
- What other musicians would you like to work with?
Ha-ha, well, here the imagination is boundless, of course))). I think that we’ll make something else with Jarno, there are ideas, agreements with very famous musicians of the world stage, but to talk about is too early because it’s only plans, and it is necessary to live till that time.
- How has Deviltears changed during the existence, in terms of sound?
Sure, we got some experience, and learned a lot. We think that the next album will be more interesting and qualitative, both in sound and in arrangements of new songs.
- Which musicians influenced you most of all?
It is a lot of such musicians, and each of us has idols. We think if we list them it will be a big list and will take a lot time;)
- And do you remember the first disk which you bought?
It is difficult to remember because it was long ago and most likely it was vinyl)))
- What spheres of art, besides music, interest you most of all?
Any art is interesting if it is made with soul.
- What is the main life philosophy of Deviltears?
To be the best!
