Kazha: We are not trying to do "heavy" music

1) Tell us the story of the formation of your band.

Me, Hideki(guitar) and Zen(Bass) moved to US last year and started this project. And came back to Japan for the album recording and met Rui(drums) and became a band.

2) You describe your music as soft and heavy. That sounds like a paradox, doesn’t it? So, what do you imply with this kind of description?

(You mean, the "soft and heavy" part? ^_^)
We are not trying to do "heavy" music but my voice or the melody is soft compare to the sound and image that band presents so we call it like that.

3) You’re a Japanese band formed in California. Does the mixture of cultures influence your musical style?

I think so.
Most of our songs are written in Cali and I think they do sound a lot different from the ones we wrote in Japan.

4) Japanese music and culture has caught on lately all over the world. What do you think is the reason for it?

Oh, that is a difficult question because I still don't really think so... I mean, I think that Japanese music isn't really accepted by the world yet so I can't really tell the reason yet.

5)What do you like more – playing live gigs or recording in the studio?

awww, incomparable...
Maybe live. Recording is more like a "work" so it could be too serious sometimes.

6)How does your dream-gig look like?

Like... Woodstock?  ^_^  I mean, HUGE.

7)What mood is the most suitable for writing songs in you opinion?

Calm but excited.... could be very emotional sometimes.

8)You have supports from Japan, Germany, Russia and other countries. How do you prefer to keep in touch with your fans?

I would prefer to be close to them. Have lots of conversations as much as I can. Because when I became too busy, I may not gonna be able to do the same things always even if I want to, you know...

9)Your clothing looks really cool! Do you create your style yourself?

Thank you ^_^ Glad you think so.
Yes. I always choose and put them together on my own but I have a sponsor. Japanese brand.

10)  If you had had a time machine, what epoch would you choose to visit?

Between B.C.1185 to 1293. ancient Egypt.

11)Could you please say a couple of words to our readers?

If you don't know us, please check us at myspace.
And if you like us, please tell your friends about us!
^_^
Thank you very much.
