MantiS (InSex): No signs, just rock'n'roll
1) How and when did InSex begin as a band?
The miraloop's press office presented the band in Jan the 28th but I know these guys since... hell, long time.
2) Mantis, could you introduce each member of the band to get acquainted and say a couple of words about each of them?
Why? To start the ruin of my band??? ok..
well, Gerolamo Sacco is the electro piece, the dragonfly. It's actually, very often, impossible to understand his topics but he's a good guy! Just don't try to have a long discussion with him. I mean, for your health!
Vigos is the man with the guitar. The scorpion. Pretty good rocker, always jobless, maybe too loud on stage... well, always.. but great guitar skills!
Alex T. is like my big brother... but I would never introduce him to any of my female friends. Never. He's the spider, the metal head!
MistSavage is the dark side of InSex, a Beetle, bass. He's like the switzerland. Very neutral!!
Franco is my imaginary friend, he is cool. He plays maracas sometimes. He's the sick side of my mind.
3) Tell us, what are you working at right now?
Right now we're working in the studio. We wanna get our first album out at least at the end of this spring. I hope like May. We're also looking for the perfect sound on stage... we're close..
4) You play the mixture of rock, electronica and visual kei. Sounds pretty cool! How and why did you come up with the idea to mix these particular styles?
Who said visual kei??? For the love of God, Not at all! Actually there is something like Visual because we got a strong visual impact but we have nothing in common with the J Music. As you maybe know I love VK but my band is really far form the J-VK style. We are VERY, VERY Italian! Rock'n'Electro... Hell Yeah, we swim in that freak pool.
5) What was the inspiration for the songs that are up now?
Nothing in particular... we get the inspiration day by day...
6) There’s a song in Italian in your profile. Do you plan to sing in both - English and Italian?
As I said we are VERY Italian and proud of it. (I did not vote for Berlusconi!)... and I think we will write something else in Italian because we got a great feedback from the Italian version of "Come to me". We wanna introduce you all to the "bella vita" Italian style even if I sing in english!
7) You have chosen the insects for each member of the band. What were the reasons behind choosing a particular insect?
Something we have in common with these insects in life and in music.
8) What was the inspiration for your striking images?
No inspiration, all by ourself!
9) What can we expect from InSex in the nearest future?
We wanna do something real! No big characters, no playback, no movies band, our faces are always the same. The make up will give us just colours but will never hide our personality!
We don't follow the music business. We follow our real passion. So now you wanna know what you can expect but I have no idea... we're working on the first album and we don't know nothing yet about the sound, the tour, the style... we can change everything every week. We wanna do it. Things change, everything turns into something new like the seasons. If we change our mood, we will change our sound. No signs, just rock'n'roll.
