In our times of advanced technologies not many musicians choose to strip their music off numerous computer effects and present it in its clear and natural way. The band Water & Bodies took this step opting for a more natural sound isntead of the one dressed up with fancy computers and this step was the right one to do! Their debut album «Lightyear» released in February 2011 drew a lot of attention to it.
The financial support of the record of «Lightyear» was raised by the band’s fans which is quite a unique event. It contains 11 clear tracks which are characterized by light, natural and almost weightless sound. Water & Bodies have taken away everything unnecessary and made the face of every song as natural as possible thus making «Lightyear» very sincere. The vocals of the band’s lead singer Christopher sound very clear and fresh adding up to the whole picture of Water & Bodies’ filled with sunlight music.
«Lightyear» doesn’t open its real essence on the first listening and in order to see what’s hiding beyond the seeming simplicity, one should listen to the record not once.
